Overview

Assoc Prof. Boland is a Fellowship trained Hand, Wrist and Microsurgeon, with 30 years’ experience: Seven years as Chief of Hand Surgery, of a level one trauma centre, the University of Kentucky, USA and five years as Head of Orthopaedics at Townsville University Hospital and James Cook University, Queensland. He brings a wealth of experience in the diagnosis and management of complex wrist pathology. He is recognised internationally for his work in the understanding of forearm biomechanics and causes of ulna wrist pain. He has been an Editor of the Journal Of Hand Surgery, Asia/Pacific and is currently an Examiner at the Royal Australasian Collage of Surgeons
